TLC Records With Outkast: Melanie Fiona, TLC With Andre 3000, and Sam Cooke

"SUMTHIN WICKED THIS WAY COMES"    TLC with ANDRE 3000
CrazySexyCool went Diamond (selling over 10,000,000 copies) and was known for the smash hits:  "Creep", "Red Light Special" and "Waterfalls" but my favorite songs on the disc were Jermaine Dupri's "Kick Your Game" and the intense hip hop jam I'm featuring here.   Andre 3000 of Outkast is the perfect MC to compliment the girls. The song has a deep message and the hook "Sometimes I just don't understand the world today" still rings true.

"PLEASE DON'T DRIVE ME AWAY"  SAM COOKE
Sam Cooke was the King Of Soul.   His songs influenced everyone from Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, 2Pac, Michael Jackson and rightfully Sam was one of the first artists inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.  This song wasn't a hit but it's a smoky bar band song with a jazzy feel punctuated by Sam's smooth voice.   He is truly one of the greatest voices in music history.

"4AM"  -  MELANIE FIONA
Melanie released her first CD two years ago and the debut single "It Kills Me" was as powerful as any R&B record released that year.    Melanie is back with another powerhouse ballad, "4AM".  The video is about a cheating lover who sneaks out at night.   Melanie really owns these torch ballads and I'm looking forward to her breakthrough with an uptempo track.
