"THE DARK KNIGHT RISES"  International Trailer
The most anticipated film of the summer comes out on Friday, July 20th.   Part 3 of  Christopher Nolan's trilogy interpretation of Batman.   The bar has been set so high with The Dark Knight and the Oscar winning performance of Heath Ledger.  There was twice as much IMAX footage used this time.  Adding new thrills is the addition of  Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle), Tom Hardy (Bane), and Joseph Gordon Levitt (Officer John Blake) to the cast.   Presale tickets have sold out in many locations already!   Here's the international film trailer and the interrogation scene:

DAILY MUSIC TRIVIA QUESTION:  What NFL team is used in The Dark Knight Rises?  Yesterday: allegedly Taylor Lautner

"OVER AGAIN"    SONYAE ELISE
Sonyae's songwriting skills move me.   "I keep reinventing the ways to make you fall in love with me again.", "I want to get butterflies in my tummy just because someone mentioned your name, want to rush to put on something sexy, just to say I've been in it all day".   Sonyae is giving away her mixtape, Lady Rebel 2, for free, I highly recommend googling and downloading this beautiful woman's music.  In my opinion, her live performance of "Over Again" is even stronger than the studio version.  Sonyae gained fame when she won the reality songwriting TV show, Platinum Hit, but I think bigger things are in her future.

"TWISTED"   KEITH SWEAT with KUT KLOSE
The King Of New Jack Swing, Keith Sweat, set the mood with his slow jams, "Make It Last Forever", "Nobody", and "Twisted".   Fueled by an iconic video with Keith as a detective chasing a female murder suspect and those lyrics, "you've got me twisted, thinking about the ways things used to be", "Twisted" became one of the definitive hits of the 90's and the biggest selling single in Keith's career.

"FEELING SINGLE"   R. KELLY
High fashion, 70's groove, a finger-poppin' mid-song breakdown, and R. Kelly's soulful voice are all packaged in the new video for "Feeling Single" that just premiered yesterday.   Play the video all the way, you'll love the retro change up around 1:45.  Robert's previous CD, "Love Letter" was a tip of the cap to the Motown, Stax, Atlantic Records sound of the 60's.  His new CD, "Write Me Back" shares his love of 70's Philly Soul.   I'm hoping he keeps the pattern going and the next CD highlights the 80's.   R Kelly has always shared Prince's ability to mix spiritual themes with sexuality and I like the creative possibilities for that potential CD.

  4. Hey Mel, you're right that R Kelly video is incredible! I didn't see that breakdown happening since it's not on the CD but I like that twist. Sonyae's song will grow on you, beautiful performance! Dark Knight is getting bad reviews (slow, takes too long to get started....) but I still can't wait to see it!

  5. Anonymous: Great song choices! I'm debuting the New No Doubt video tomorrow and Pink has a new song I'm putting on Tuesday. Since those are 2 of your artists, I'd probably hold off until next Friday or Saturday. What is your name? I'll add it to the post.

  6. What a coincidence! I could have picked many songs but those artists didn't appear to be heavily featured on your site. The lyrics hit home. T/Y! Signed - Once Bitten Twice Shy.
