Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore's Second Homage To The Eighties: 50 First Dates Soundtrack

Spotlight CD:   50 First Dates Soundtrack
Adam Sandler's "The Wedding Singer" paid homage to the 80's bringing back the outfits, the hairstyles, Billy Idol, and an inspired collection of 80's songs.  When Adam and Drew Barrymore teamed up for their second film together, they went to Hawaii and rekindled their love of 80's music.   Here was an reggae inspired collection of covers of everyone from Echo & The Bunnymen, The Cure, Spandau Ballet, The Cars, Bryan Ferry.   Avoid the knee-jerk reaction to a different style than the original.   Great songs for a tiki bar party!

The Cure:  "Friday I'm In Love" (Dryden Mitchell) and "Love Song" (311)

Spandau Ballet's "True" (Black Eyed Peas)
The Car's "Drive"   (Ziggy Marley)

Bryan Ferry's "Slave To Love" by Elan Atias and Gwen Stefani!
