Master Of Puppets Track One: Metallica, Buckcherry, Jack Off Jill (Cure cover)

"BATTERY"                             METALLICA

The opening song on Metallica's best CD, Master of Puppets.   Battery begins with an acoustic Spanish guitar solo until the drums and distorted guitars come in.   At 1:05, it's classic Metallica thrash metal.    This one features the original bassist, Cliff Burton, and one of Lars Ulrich's finest drum solos.     Metallica ruled metal in the 80's and 90's.   I'm still holding out hope for one more "garage styled" CD from the band.

"CRAZY BITCH"                         BUCKCHERRY

Just saw them last week in Tampa at the Straz Center (usually an arena for plays and operas!)     Buckcherry carried on their L.A. Sunset Strip glam metal style and closed the show with this mega hit.   Lead singer, Josh Todd, sang Prince's Irresistible Bitch and segued into Crazy Bitch, everyone was shouting out the chorus!

"LOVESONG"                            JACK OFF JILL

A all-girl screamo punk version of a love song by The Cure, you don't hear that everyday.    "Lovesong" is a classic with it's haunting beats and beautiful lyrics professing "I'll always love you".    JOJ is from Ft Lauderdale, FL and were an opening act for their friend, Marilyn Manson, from Orlando in the 90's.    They disbanded in 2000 but left their mark with this song.   This song would be incredible in a sexual-thriller movie like Basic Instinct.    "I Will Always Love You" - will never sound the same!
